Marshall Hurley became interested in photography as a child.  A life-changing event for him came during the summer before he started high school when he was allowed to “shadow” one of the senior photographers of the renowned Alderman Studios of High Point, NC, on a one-week photo shoot.  He used what was then a very cool camera, the 28 mm Kodak Instamatic X-25.

Many years and several cameras later, he was ready to take advantage of the movement to digital imaging.  In 2009, he connected with Nature’s Photography Workshops and regularly participates as a student under the leadership of professional photographers and instructors Vinny Colucci and Melissa Southern.

Marshall is affiliated with Pics-R-Easy.com, a leader in on-line photobook publishing, and he has just launched a new venture called Hometown Books, which will specialize in small town, “down home” photography throughout North Carolina.  He is proud to unveil his new photo website for Amicus Photography which is designed to showcase his digital landscapes and wedding albums.
